The estate is owned by William & Emily McClintock Bunbury. Lisnavagh House & Gardens is managed by Emily and William along with a hardworking and dedicated team in both the house and the gardens.
William McClintock Bunbury returned to Lisnavagh in 2000 with a view to creating a financially sustainable life and business on the estate. In 2001, The Lisnavagh Timber Project was established and during the following years parts of Lisnavagh Farmyard were refurbished into offices some of which now house the family enterprises.
Meanwhile the Lisnavagh Timber Project has evolved into making Bespoke Bunbury products including kitchen worktops, mantelpieces and other commissions. William oversees the day to day running of Lisnavagh Estate, which is no easy task.
the Timber ProjectEmily McClintock Bunbury married William in October 2002 and has been very actively involved in several aspects of the estate since including the refurbishment of Lisnavagh House from 2005. Lisnavagh House opened as a bespoke wedding venue in 2007. To increase the accommodation for guests, the estate cottages and stables courtyard were refurbished to rent out for short and longer term stays.
There are ongoing and exciting projects at Lisnavagh. More recently the refurbishment of The Garden Wing for an all year round space as well as the Brick Barn located in the woods for ceremonies and other events.
Lisnavagh House & Gardens now a well known destination is a popular retreat, a sought after corporate outing venue and host to several bespoke and annual events as well as offering self catering accommodation, it is a busy place. Lisnavagh is also regularly used as a location for fashion editorials and occasionally for commercial film projects.
Emily & William enjoy Lisnavagh House as a family home with their three children, dogs and other animals.
Lisnavagh’s woodlands are mostly mixed hardwood forests of up to about 150 years old.
